Putters and other Golf Clubs.
There are many, many types and varieties of golf clubs available from drivers to wedges, each having a different angle or loft.
Golfers are allowed to carry and use in competition any combination of clubs, but no more than 14,the choice of which will be determined by personal needs and course conditions on the day in question.
The one club common to all however is the humble putter. This is the club which is used more often than any other on average 30 or more times per round.
The putter is not flat faced,as it would look at first glance, but has a loft of a few degrees to help the roll of the golf ball on the green. This compares to the lofted clubs in the bag, which are used around the green for short shot making and also bunker play and may have lofts as great as 70 degrees.
